Enclosure Accessories Overview
Many Wi-Fi AP vendors, and wireless designers, recommend that APs should be mounted in a horizontal orientation, as if mounted beneath a ceiling. The AP’s internal antennas are designed to provide the best wireless coverage when mounted in this orientation. The Oberon 39-1020-RAB is a right angle bracket for Oberon’s Skybar™ 1020 series compact NEMA 4X Wi-Fi AP enclosure, designed to mount the enclosed AP in the horizontal orientation. The 39-1020-RAB creates an insulating air gap between the bracket and the enclosure and also acts as a sun shield when exposed to direct sunlight. Order the 39-1020-PMK pole mounting kit when mounting the 39-1020-RAB on a pole.
NOTE: 6 GHz Access Points (e.g. Wi-Fi 6E) may only operate outdoors in the United States in the Standard Power mode (requiring AFC coordination). Low Power Indoor (LPI) Access Points are restricted to indoor only operation.
