The suspended ceiling tile enclosures are designed to replace standard 2' x 2' ceiling tiles in an acoustical, drop ceiling environment. The ceiling enclosure is a convenient and secure method of mounting an access point. The access point can be accessed without disturbing the air-handling space, and antennas can be mounted on the door of the enclosure to provide ideal radiation patterns. Access point location remains readily identifiable, and service and maintenance is facilitated. The ceiling enclosures are designed to satisfy National Electric Code paragraphs 300-22 and 300-23 for installations in the air handling space (sometimes called the "plenum" space). Most of Oberon's mounts and enclosures are UL Listed and carry an OPA number.

Wi-Fi access point (WAP) vendors’ Cisco Systems, Aruba Networks, and most others, recommend that their enterprise access points should be mounted in a horizontal orientation in order to provide the best wireless signal coverage. Typically, the ceiling is a good place to mount the WAP, but in some cases the ceiling is not accessible, or inconvenient, thereby requiring a wall mounting solution. Even when mounted on the wall, the best coverage is obtained with the WAP mounted in a horizontal orientation. Oberon provides several solutions for mounting and securing WAPs on walls, pillars, beams and other structures in the preferred horizontal orientation for optimal wireless coverage and performance. Installations are simple, aesthetic, and professional. For installation on hard walls and ceiling where WAPs need to be protected, Oberon’s non-metallic WAP enclosures are ideal for locking up the WAP. These enclosures are made from an impact resistant, UL classified, plastic. This material is virtually transparent to wireless signals.

These enclosures are designed to permit convenient and secure mounting of the access point on walls or in rooms with a hard "lid" or ceiling. The enclosures include a universal mounting plate for access points from many vendors, "keyed alike" locks, and knockouts for antennas, which can either protrude through the enclosure or can be installed as bulkhead kits. Most of Oberon's ceiling mounts and enclosures are UL Listed and carry an OPA number.

These enclosures are designed to permit convenient and secure mounting of the access point in difficult or outdoor environments. Some of these enclosures include a universal mounting plate for access points from many vendors, “keyed alike” locks, and egress points for bulkhead mounted antennas and conduit. The enclosures are designed to the UL50 standard for enclosure integrity. With proper egress point seals, the enclosures are NEMA 4 compliant for water and dust resistance.

Oberon offers a wide variety of retrofit doors for 105X and 107X series wireless LAN access point enclosures. These retrofit doors permit simple upgrades to new wireless equipment and antennas in installed enclosures.  Simply unlock the door, remove three nuts, and replace the door with the new retrofit door. The solution is still UL listed and plenum-rated.
