Oberon's Model 1052-00 enclosure has been popular for use in mounting and securing the Cisco 1242 wireless access point. With many Cisco customers making the migration from the Cisco 1242 to the Cisco 1140 series 802.11n wireless access point, enclosure needs are likewise in transition.
 
Enter the 38-1052-ADPDOOR-1140, Oberon's new replaceable door for the 1052-00, designed to allow replacement of the Cisco 1242 with the Cisco 1140 access point. This field replaceable door aesthetically secures the Cisco 1140 in the same location using the same key as the Model 1052-00. The 1052-00 remains in place, allowing for cable management and termination.
 
The presentation of this new product represents Oberon's commitment to producing new products based on customer needs. It follows the introduction in late 2009 of the model 1070-00, the first Oberon enclosure designed to house telecommunications equipment other than wireless access points, such as Ethernet rack mounted devices - ideal for structured cabling and Fiber-to-the-Enclosure (FTTE) deployments.

Oberon's Model 1039-00 mounting solution for antennas provides an aesthetic, economical, convenient mounting solution for wireless LAN antennas. The mounting plate is similar to a conventional speaker grill with openings to mount wireless LAN antennas. The speaker grill is attached to a tile bridge, which supports the speaker grill, antennas, and, if desired, the wireless access point. The speaker grill serves as an excellent ground plane for up to four antennas. The product is designed to satisfy National Electric Code (NEC) paragraphs 300-22 and 300-23 for installation in the air handling space. The mounting solution can be used with Oberon's 34-ZDUAL, 34-DMDUAL antennas, 35-BULKHD-KIT-RPSMA(F) or 35-BULKHD-KIT-RPTNC(F) adaptors for dipole antennas (not included). Speaker grill is 12” diameter.

Oberon's Model 1070-00 ceiling mounted telecommunications enclosure is a secure, convenient, and aesthetic telecommunications enclosure for rack mountable Ethernet switches, patch panels, wireless controllers and other networking and A/V components. The 1070-00 has mounting brackets for up to 2 standard (1U) rack mountable components, and back-box openings to mount a patch panel and CCH fiber optic adaptor panel. The enclosure has a highly perforated door to allow airflow for fan-less operation. The 1070-00 is ideal for structured cabling and Fiber-to-the-Enclosure (FTTE) deployments. The enclosure can be used to shorten home-runs to improve data rate and network capacity. Enclosure mounts in standard 2' x 2' ceiling tile grid-work.

Oberon's Model 1032-00 “hard lid” or wall mount enclosure provides a secure, aesthetic, convenient mounting solution for smaller wireless access points from many vendors. This economical enclosure has a low profile impact resistant ABS dome so that wireless access points with integrated or non-detachable antennas can be secured in otherwise unsecured spaces. The product is designed to provide an unobtrusive mounting solution. Locks are “keyed-alike” to simplify moves, adds, and changes. Cover is UL listed (UL-94V5A). Size is 11" x 11" x 2.5" (total depth).

Oberon's Dec. 31, 2008 — Oberon announces a secure, aesthetic, convenient ceiling mount solution for the new Cisco 1140 Series wireless access point. Oberon’s Model 1064-00 is a suspended ceiling tile-like mounting solution. The 1064-00 simply replaces a standard 2’x2’ ceiling tile. The Cisco 1142 is placed in the access point receptacle, and a patent pending locking mechanism is used to secure the access point. The solution is very aesthetic, and preserves the appearance and integrity of the office ceiling system. The product is designed to satisfy National Electric Code (NEC) paragraphs 300-22 and 300-23 for installation in the air handling (“plenum”) space. Locks are “keyed-alike” to simplify moves, adds, and changes.

Oberon is introducing two new “plenum rated” ceiling enclosure designed for Aruba Networks wireless enterprise deployments. These ceiling enclosures provide a convenient, secure, and aesthetic means to mount the access point. Oberon's Model 1052-AN is designed specifically for Aruba Networks AP-60, 70, 120 and 124 access points with detachable antennas. The 1052-AN has convenient mounting locations for Aruba Networks AP-ANT-13B antennas. Oberon's model 1055-AN is designed specifically for Aruba Networks AP-65, 121, and 125 access points with non-detachable antennas. Both models are UL listed.

Oberon introduces a new locking wall mount/hard lid enclosure large enough for the Cisco 1250 series 802.11n wireless access point. Oberon's Model 1022-00 enclosure includes knockouts for up to six antennas. Using Oberon's optional “Z” antennas, or standard dipole antennas with a bulkhead mounting kit, network operators can achieve an aesthetic installation with optimal “802.11n” wireless capability in challenging indoor environments. Oberon, Inc. announces new Tegular Wi-Fi access point ceiling enclosure designs. Tegular acoustic ceiling tiles for suspended or drop ceiling systems have a ~5/16” recess around the perimeter. The tegular ceiling system is considered more aesthetic, and is commonly used in new construction and new ceiling systems. Oberon's new tegular Model 1060-T and Model 1053-00-T mimic the tegular ceiling tiles for a more uniform and aesthetic installation.
